Privacy Notice

Identity and address of the data controller

Laboratorio Internacional Web S.A. de C.V. ("LabWeb"), with address in Mexico City, Mexico, is responsible for processing your personal data. For any matter related to your privacy, write to us at legal@labweb.mx.

Personal data we collect

When you use our contact form we collect the data you provide: name, email address, and optionally a phone number, as well as the content of your message.

In addition, on every visit we automatically collect: your IP address and the approximate location and network operator derived from it (city, region and country); your browser identifier (user agent); device type, browser and operating system; screen and window size; configured language and timezone; connection type; the pages you visit, how long you stay, how far you scroll and the interactions you make; the page you came from and the campaign parameters of the link you used.

We also collect technical characteristics of your device that the browser exposes without asking you: processor core count, approximate memory, graphics card, installed fonts, screen resolution and density, touch support, and the result of drawing and audio tests. From those characteristics we build an identifier of your device that lets us recognise that two visits come from the same equipment, even if you clear your browser storage. This is known as device fingerprinting.

We also measure how each page is used in order to improve it: real attention time (the seconds in which the page is visible, in the foreground and with recent activity from you), where you click or tap and the approximate path of your pointer, which sections you view and for how long, and the length, never the content, of any text you copy. This measurement uses no cookies and collects no personal data: we do not store what you type or the text you select, and on your account pages we do not record the text of what you tap.

We do not use cookies. We store two identifiers in your browser's local storage (one for the visitor and one for the session) so the same visit is not counted twice.

We do not collect sensitive personal data.

Automatic measurement and device identification

The technical data and fingerprint described above are processed to: (i) measure and improve the site by understanding which pages are used and how they behave; (ii) tell human visits apart from bots and automated crawlers, which are most of the traffic; (iii) detect and prevent abuse, fraud and attacks; and (iv) correctly attribute where contact requests come from.

The device identifier is not linked to your name or email unless you provide them in the contact form. If you do, we may relate that request to visits from the same device for sales follow-up.

This measurement runs on our own infrastructure; we do not share this data with advertising networks. To resolve the approximate location of an IP address we query geolocation providers, to which we send only the IP address.

You can object to this collection by writing to hola@labweb.mx, and you may also use your browser's private mode or an extension that blocks measurement.

Purposes of processing

We use your personal data to: (i) handle and respond to your request; (ii) follow up and prepare proposals or quotes for your project; and (iii) contact you through the means you provided.

We do not use your data for purposes other than those stated here, nor do we sell it.

Transfers and processors

We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We may rely on providers acting as processors (for example, email-delivery or hosting services), who handle the data solely under our instructions and confidentiality obligations.

ARCO rights and withdrawal of consent

You have the right to Access, Rectify, and Cancel your personal data, as well as to Oppose its processing (ARCO rights), and to withdraw any consent you have given us.

To exercise any of these rights, send your request to legal@labweb.mx stating your name and the details of your request. We will respond within the timeframes required by law. If you believe your data-protection rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with Mexico's data protection authority (INAI).

United States residents (California, CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, in addition to the above you have the right to know what personal data we collect and how we use it, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

We do not sell or share your personal data as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not collect categories of sensitive information. To exercise any of these rights, you or an authorized agent may write to us at legal@labweb.mx.

Other jurisdictions

We serve clients in Mexico and the United States and operate internationally. If you reside elsewhere, local law may grant you additional rights over your personal data (for example, the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom). You can exercise any rights that apply to you by writing to legal@labweb.mx, and we will handle your request under the applicable law.

Because we operate from Mexico and the United States, your data may be processed in those countries; we apply reasonable safeguards and only share it with processors bound by confidentiality obligations.

Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described and any applicable legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

Security measures

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction, or unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice at any time. We will post any changes on this page and indicate the date of the last update.
